It seems there is a tearing hurry to go to SC. Should judges be allowed SC elevation out of turn, bypassing seniority? That makes him vulnerable to quid pro quo. What is examined before a judge is elevated to SC? Loyalty to the emperor? Should people not know? What face will they show the young gen? No out of turn, opaque elevation shud be permitted. Esp in such cases who throw law to the wind and go out of their way to please the executive. We should be careful of weaponisation of courts. Integrity of courts is most important for democracy to survive.

बिहार के खगड़िया में पकड़े गए फर्जी IAS के पास से जो कुछ मिला, उसपर यकीन कर पाना कठिन है। इस फर्जी आईएएस का नाम मनीष गुप्ता है। इसके पास से टेस्ला की एक ड्राइवरलेस कार और डायकोर सफारी कार मिली। पूरे देश में सिर्फ 250 ही ड्राइवरलेस कार है। खरीदने के लिए सरकार की अनुमति चाहिए होती है।

मनीष आलीशान बंगले में रहता था। तमाम और प्रॉपर्टी खरीद रखी थी। घर में ही एक बार बना रखा था, उसमें विदेशी शराब ही रखता था। 31 लीटर शराब मिली है, एक बोतल की कीमत 1 लाख रुपए से अधिक है। 5 आईफोन मिले। 20 क्रेडिट कार्ड, 4 चेकबुक व 8 एटीएम कार्ड मिले।

खगड़िया के एसपी भानु प्रताप सिंह का कहना है- मनीष खुद को आईएएस बताकर बिहार में ही अलग-अलग जिलों में ठगी करता था। गाड़ी पर गर्वनमेंट ऑफ इंडिया व आईएएस लिखवा रखा था।

साढ़े 7 घंटे की जांच में पता चला कि मनीष के पास करीब 100 करोड़ की संपत्ति है। 10 सालों से ठगी कर रहा। घर के चारों तरफ करीब 100 सीसीटीवी कैमरा लगवा रखा था। 6 भाइयों में सबसे छोटा है। शादी नहीं की। बाकी के जो 5 भाई हैं सभी अच्छी नौकरी में हैं, एक तो दिल्ली में प्रोफेसर हैं, एक कनाडा में है।

The Collegium system is becoming a serious concern for India’s judiciary. 🔥

The Collegium has appointed 4 High Court Chief Justices, yet not a single one belongs to the SC, ST and OBC communities.

The institution expected to deliver justice cannot remain socially unrepresentative. When one social group (Uppered Caste) dominates the higher judiciary, it raises serious questions about equality, representation and institutional bias.

The UGC Regulations controversy and the stay on them is a glaring example of why social diversity in constitutional institutions matters.

Justice must be equal and institutions must reflect India’s diversity.
