Thank you for reaching out. Battery often drains fast when new because background sync, high screen refresh rates, and location services run constantly by default, new phones also index data and install updates during the first few days, which heavily uses power.

Turn on Power Saving mode under Settings > Battery.
Go to Settings > Battery > Background usage limits and put unused apps into Sleeping or Deep sleeping mode.
Swipe down the quick panel and turn off Bluetooth, GPS location, and Wi-Fi or mobile data when not needed.
Make sure the phone runs the newest software by checking Settings > Software update. ^Nora
