We should be proud of our culture & heritage but making them dance in 40-odd temperature on tarmac is unacceptable & human rights violation. Arranging this blocks airport & is inconvenience to other travellers. Dignitaries landed, quickly take them to destination - simple.

All of a sudden I've started getting messages from PBGOVT #Punjab#India. Thanks to #Google Gemini I know what it means (noble cause) but why is Punjab Govt. spamming me? Neither number was subscribed nor my address on account is from Punjab. TBH, I'm not even in/near Punjab.
In India, wrong-side driving is rarely punished—either the police don't notice, or they take a bribe and let it go.
When crimes go unchecked for too long, they become habits or even entitlements. Applies to wrong-side driving as well—offenders feel so entitled that confronting them leads to arguments and abuse.
Kuldeep Thakur, the driver, had multiple challans for wrong-side driving. Had he been jailed for the first offense for a year or so, this tragedy might have been avoided. Even this time, he was released on bail the same day!
Shri @nitin_gadkari, there are various technologies available to curb wrong-side driving or to warn other drivers, such as radar, infrared, flashing lights, sign boards, radio warnings, etc. Can we think of this as priority?
Vivek Agnihotri declines invitation of Oxford Union Society for debate on Kashmir status.
A letter worth reading over and over again.......! @vivekagnihotri
Don’t stand under a flyover during rain, you never know, it might just collapse on you.
Don’t stand on the road either, someone might run you over.
Don’t even stand by the roadside, what if a billboard drops on your head?
The footpath? No, there might be an open manhole waiting for you.
And don’t seek refuge in any nearby commercial establishments, they might flood, and you could drown.
Don’t even think about ducking into a street, there could be a loose electric wire or a pack of stray dogs waiting for you.
In India, death lurks at every step. Take care of yourself. If something happens to you, who will pay your share of taxes? And if the tax revenue falls short, how will govt's ladli behan, fufi, jiji all the others get their monthly stipends? At least for their sake, be alert and survive.
Police have arrested the driver of this black SUV for driving on the flooded road, which caused a gush of water to break through the Rau's IAS gate, a gate that was already porous and wasn't stopping any water.
This is some joke! Next, they'll arrest the car manufacturer.
The Maharashtra CM has announced a Rs 11 crore reward for the Indian cricket team for winning the World Cup.
It's understandable when the BCCI announces prize money, but why should the govt do it using your tax money?
It would still be acceptable if the players were poor, the board was poor, the sport wasn't popular, and some players had gone out of their way to win something big despite having little or no facilities.
When an ordinary poor person dies due to govt negligence, they get a compensation of 2-5 lakhs, but cricketers, who are already rich, will be given crores for winning a cup.
"AI for the rest of us"
I'm usually very fairly critical of Apple, but contextual compute, in-app interactions assisted by AI is the right approach.
Apple took its time, but has all the right ideas about personal AI. #WWDC24
