tbh i think she's talking about the mentor/mentee thing rather than making the scene non romantic because if that was the intention they clearly failed lmaooo
the concept of them asking for this scene to be changed only for it to backfire on them and becoming even more romantic
Taylor Dearden reflected on how Mel’s confidence shines through (on her very hard bad terrible day) when she helps Langdon in episode 13, noting that this character arc was planned from the start. She needs him, then, there’s this “swing” where he needs her.
original script had langdon winking at mel, her blushing after becca tells him she talks about him, cutting the high five and “i don’t know why abby stayed but she did”, them having an ambulance scene like rollins…. KINGDON WILL BE CANON I BELIEVE
