In #English yesterday, we did some role play where we imagined we were exploring a new place in Egypt. We thought carefully about how we would feel and how this would show on our bodies, as well as what we might hear, see and feel.
#English#performance#music Otters had a fantastic immersive day at the Larmer Tree Project today. We got to explore the gardens and spot poetry on our travels, become song writers, artists and performers. π
#Science We deepened our understanding of electrical conductors and insulators in science yesterday, trialling some different materials in our circuits to see if the electricity could still flow around the circuit.
This week otters had an exciting visit from Yeovil Town Football Club. The children participated in a growth mindset workshop focusing on self-esteem. After, they enjoyed some team building games focusing on team work, playing fair, ambition and inspiring others. Thank you YTFC!
@YTFC came to visit us at school today. Ty spoke to us about self-esteem; what it means and how we can build it. We then went outside to take part in some team building games which was great fun! #PE#PHSE
#residential pre breakfast giant jenga, making our own packed lunches and more river fun! Today the river activities included bark boat making and testing and river dipping to see what we could find.
#residential What a blast! We have had a fantastic day at Springhead with a hike up the hill for some beautiful views and den building in the woods. Followed by some free time to explore, even an opportunity to drink from the Spring amongst other exciting activities!
This morning we had James in from Rock Steady to deliver an assembly where he taught us about the different instruments that make up a band. We then did a workshop led by him, where he helped us to create the schools newest band - The Rocking Pink Cheeseburgers!πΉπ΅πΆπ₯πΈπ€
