First off, welcome. We're glad you're here. We've got lots of new faces around, so join us, and read on to learn more about SARCRAFT.
We're a North Georgia wilderness skills school providing training in survival, bushcraft, wilderness medicine, tactical fieldcraft, adventure prep, and all other aspects of the outdoor lifestyle.
We've been Empowering Adventure since 2017, and have equipped thousands of students - from elementary school kids to Tier One special operators - with the skills they need to PREVAIL in whatever situation they find themselves in.
My roots are in the search & rescue field - I spent a decade in SAR looking for lost and missing people, and realized along the way that if more of them had a basic level of outdoor skills, their dire predicament would have been nothing more than a great story to tell.
I now serve as an 11B in the Georgia Army National Guard, with one deployment and some great experiences under my belt. But SARCRAFT is much more than just me - we have over a dozen instructors and staff hailing from all walks of the outdoor lifestyle, from military and first responders to bushcrafters and woods hippies. I've tagged several of them here, along with several other friends and associates of ours who you should definitely follow as well.
We've tried to become more consistent with posting but we're first and foremost a school, not content creators, so bear with us. That said, with everything we share we hope to educate and empower, or at least entertain. We don't believe in GenAi content, so everything here is real.
There are two of us who manage this page, and we do our best to respond to legitimate questions, constructive comments and DMs. While we don't delete pointless negative comments, we also don't engage with them. If you don't have anything useful to add to the conversation, you will be ignored.
The best way to get to know is to come to a class. We pride ourselves on top-tier training seasoned with Southern hospitality, and love nothing more than helping students achieve their goals and build lifelong confidence outdoors. Go to https://t.co/iU0Kxd2Msu or check our bio to learn more.
See you in the woods!

Casey Brock demonstrating the "three knuckles inside a rainbow" knot to her "Women in the Wild" class this weekend at #SARCRAFT. She even had them doing it with their eyes closed!
Who can tell me the more common name of this knot?

We like to start and end every SARCRAFT class with gratitude, and this weekend was no exception.
The turnout was incredible. Our "Bushcraft Essentials" and "Women in the Wild" classes were both busting at the seams.
Forever grateful for this journey we're on - come join us! (We might need a bigger pavilion...)
If you're gonna learn one edible and medicinal plant, Plantain is the one to learn.
Whether it's Broadleaf or Narrowleaf, they both have powerful anti-inflammatory properties, are antiseptic, and useful for stopping minor bleeding.
And best of all, you almost certainly have them in your yard.
Phil lays it out here - if you want to learn this in person, sign up for Wild Edible Essentials on Saturday, May 2nd at https://t.co/vbXRAiqs79!
