"I've been rooting for the Knicks since I've been 7 years old and to have a team like this is pretty darn special." - Legendary @NYKnicks broadcaster Mike Breen on the Knicks heading to the NBA Finals.

I’m not one for the “if you weren’t here for this” tweets. But I will say:
As a kid, I (and I know many of you) sat there watching every single game. Grasping for any hope.
Jubilant for the smallest victories.
Marbury and Curry and Lee and Melo and Porzingis and tanks and lotteries and teams without even a single recognizable name.
Hundreds of hours of wondering how in the world we could even approach where this team now finds itself.
So I say, let’s bask in it.
Congrats to all of you. Let’s keep going.
The problem is not talking to Hasan Piker or influencers like him. Such conversations are part of democratic dialogue. The problem is figuring out how to constructively engage a new media landscape dominated by smashmouth populists of all political persuasions who talk about everything but are experts in nothing, and whose incentives run toward incendiary virality rather than accuracy.
How do reporters and others have these conversations in ways that make their audiences more informed, rather than less? I have some ideas.

The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.
If you’re a citizen—like Renee Nicole Good—who engages in civil disobedience, the Trump Administration will execute you as though you were the enemy, wielding law enforcement as a weapon.
And if you’re a public servant—like Federal Reserve Chair Jerome Powell—who exercises independence, the Trump Administration will persecute you under the guise of prosecution.
As Trump himself has made clear, the only restraint he recognizes on his power is his own morality—which is conspicuously absent.
Openly and proudly sympathizing with Hamas, especially while standing in the largely Jewish community of Kew Gardens Hills, stokes fear and division.
I will continue to fight against vile antisemitism such as this, and I urge everyone to come together at this time to combat rising hatred in all its forms.
“Theo Ellington was in his 20s when he lost his first supervisor race. Now a family man with a vast network, the Bayview native is pitching a bold vision for the district and SF's historically underserved Black community.”

“If he was trying to terrorize our family, our friends, the Jewish community who joined us for a Passover Seder in that room last night, hear me:…no one will deter me or my family or any Pennsylvanian from celebrating their faith openly and proudly.” https://t.co/79DeUukCdP
Booker: "I confess that I have been imperfect. I confess that I've been inadequate to the moment. I've confess that the Democratic Party has made terrible mistakes that gave a lane to this demagogue. I confess we all must look in the mirror and say 'we will do better.'"
