Book 14 of 2023
After the War by Tom Palmer ⭐️⭐⭐1/2
Inspired by @SATHinfo Conference to pick this up. Excellent little read. Hoping to use in my S2 course that I'm trying to redevelop #ReadingList2023
A huge well done from SATH to Morven Gibson from Gleniffer High School in Paisley. Morven achieved the highest mark in the Higher History exam. An outstanding achievement! #SATHConference @GlenifferHigh With her very proud teacher Miss Dalgleish :)
A brilliant day at the @SATHinfo 2023 conference, hosted by @poppyscotland. A personal highlight was seeing this vial of sand from the Somme, on the anniversary of the end of the battle. Thanks to all who made it happen!
It you are looking to get some local history into your curriculum then ‘A Street Near You https://t.co/hcvGA3ReZx… is a good place to start. You can very quickly build up a database of soldiers from your town who lost their lives during World War One #historyteacher
Took a really structured approach to #literacy with an S2 class and a fairly challenging text on the decline of witch hunts, with tasks before and during reading, as well as reflections after. Great to see the pupils push themselves #historyteacher
N5 historians @OLSPHigh used their folding frenzies today to test each other on ‘Scots on the Western Front’. This is part of a series of revision strategies being taught in history for their upcoming prelims. #pedagoofriday#revision#n5history@SATHinfo
