#ZEP : Let’s move to the 2nd applicant, the Zim Immigration Federation (ZIF).
The PTA High Court has granted the ZIF an interim interdict (pending the outcome of part b) which restrains govt respondents from detaining or deporting any holder of a #ZEP . #SABCNews

3. Judgment was delivered today following the HSF’s (1st applicant) challenge of the termination of the ZEP.
The foundation hauled the minister to court in April arguing that his decision was unlawful, invalid and that it should be set aside.
4. The NGO further requested that the decision be sent back to the Minister to consider afresh.
HSF was the first applicant. Three applications were launched to challenge the termination of the ZEP. #SABCNews
2. The court has further reviewed and set aside the Minister’s decision and remitted it back to him for reconsideration (fair process).
In addition, the High Court directed that ZEPs shall remain valid for the next 12 months. #SABCNews .
JUST IN : HA Min Dr. Motsoaledi’s Dec 2021 decision to terminate the #ZEP, grant a limited 12 month extension & to refuse extensions beyond 30 June 2023 has been declared unlawful, unconstitutional & invalid by a full bench in the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria. #SABCNews
