Fidelity Services Group Mobilises Resources Ahead of Planned Anti-Illegal Immigration Protest:
Fidelity Services Group has activated extensive contingency measures and is closely monitoring reports of a planned anti-illegal immigration protest set to take place on 30 June 2026.
According to Fidelity Services Group CEO Wahl Bartmann, the companyβs National Joint Operations Centre (JOC) is working closely with law enforcement agencies and other stakeholders to ensure readiness should the planned protest lead to unrest or disruptions.
Bartmann said comprehensive operational plans have been put in place, with helicopter and drone pilots on standby, while additional specialised personnel and armoured personnel carriers can be deployed where necessary.
Fidelity will also utilise its network of public-space cameras to enhance situational awareness and support rapid response efforts.
The company has indicated that it can bolster staffing levels at its National JOC to strengthen intelligence gathering, risk analysis and operational coordination.
Fidelity is also preparing to support recovery and response operations through both air and ground resources in cooperation with the South African Police Service (SAPS).
Current intelligence assessments suggest concerns are focused on specific transport routes, town centres, business districts, municipal offices and foreign-owned businesses.
At this stage, KwaZulu-Natal and Gauteng have been identified as areas where tensions could potentially escalate.
While the immediate threat is regarded as localised, Fidelity warns that any unrest could result in road blockages, delays in staff movement, intimidation of foreign-owned businesses, demands for documentation at workplaces, temporary business closures, retail disruptions and pressure on public service facilities.
Fidelity Services Group says it remains in constant contact with its intelligence networks and operational partners to gather verified information and monitor developments.
The company has committed to providing updates should any credible threats or incidents emerge ahead of or during the planned protest action.
