A sensitization workshop was organised on 26.12.21 at the Police Reserve Conference Hall on "Animal Protection Laws".
Renowned animal activist Smt Gauri Maulekhi, served as the resource person for the event and talked in depth about the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act
and the role of Law enforcement officers in implementing these laws. Our Founder Rashmi Choudhury talked about the burning issues of #AnimalWelfare in the State viz. dog smuggling cases, unregistered pet shops, meat shops/slaughter houses and also regulation of dairy farms.
Update on the brutal dog killing case from Surat - Rander police station under Surat City Police registered an FIR today under all relevant sections following complaints from local activists. Arrests will be made shortly.

Gwalior quack booked and arrested for killing dog by repeatedly beating him with a rod, paralysing him and then chopping off his leg & other body parts. We worked with PFA Indore and Gwalior police to register a FIR under Section 429 of IPC and Section 11(1)(a) of PCA Act, 1960.
