In response to recordings where the lead detective of my mother’s case clearly stated “we’ve got nothing,” “we’re stuck,” and “I’m and investigator with nothing to investigate,” the MPD’s counsel inferred that the police don’t need to be honest about their investigation with the Hamburg Family. But, why discourage the son of the victim so vehemently? What possible investigative goal does this achieve? This argument was immediately contradicted upon cross examination and the MPD’s counsel later used these recordings as a basis of fact in front of the CT Supreme Court. The next three days will be dedicated to how this policy of dishonesty and contradiction extended beyond my family and into the courtroom

By appealing, the MPD effectively sued the FOIC for acting “capricious.” Throughout the appellate process, parties are not allowed to enter new facts, but rely on the original record in question. Yet, in their briefs to the CT Supreme Court, the @Madison911’s counsel, Floyd Dugas, tried to enter new information about the release of #murderonmiddlebeach and alleged recent activity in the case. And, most egregiously, independent of any supporting facts or cited quotes and knowing the likelihood of an arrest is close to zero, claimed, “there will in fact be a murder prosecution.”

It’s been almost two years since this unfounded and capricious statement and there have been no signs of life in this case.
