Accompanied by a separate editorial that ignores that this ‘news story’ is based on anti-abortion misinformation and that there is “no evidence” behind it. Ending the year on quite the journalistic low
The front page of @theTiser has an inflammatory and stigmatising headline about abortions later in pregnancy and the Stillborn Baby Payment. Reminder that later gestation abortions are rare but essential health care accessed in complex circumstances.
it's insane that she keeps getting published in the tiser with absolute nonsense
nobody who has carried a baby for 28 weeks is ending a pregnancy simply for a $4k payment
Have you read our latest post about abortion imagery?

Only 3 NSW public hospitals are “openly providing abortion outside of a medical emergency … Women elsewhere are left trying to access one of just 13 private providers, which cost a minimum of $775 if you have a Medicare card, and are not easy to find.”

There needs to be some sackings from hospital boards & LHDs. There should be none of these abortion deserts. Abortion is health care & ALL publicly funded hospitals MUST ensure that all women have easy access to health care.

Today the Greens have announced our plan to provide women with free access to contraceptives.
There are 4.8 million women in Australia using contraceptives.
Our policy would make sure they can access the contraception that works for them, regardless of their bank balance.
Well done NSW Health

Abortion is ESSENTIAL healthcare. We must not standby & watch the erosion of #AbortionRights in Australia. Decisions about abortion are best made by the woman & her healthcare provider. Not politicians, not lawyers, not pretend-drs, not religious leaders

Those is favour are listed below. I do thank the @Greens for trying and putting women’s reproductive rights first. Thank you to all of those who stood by women yesterday x
The Greens motion to remove the Babies Born Alive Bill was voted down yesterday in the senate.
Some senators were concerned about free speech over women’s rights.
Here is the list of those who voted not to kill this bill:
“The governments of Australia’s least populous states and territories [including South Australia] have made significant inroads into rolling out free medical and surgical abortion access through the public health system. It’s time other states follow their lead.”
Abortion is legal in all Australian states and territories. But the availability and cost of services depends on where you live and your pregnancy gestation @latrobe https://t.co/ccryGRiw25
