Today is dedicated to raising awareness about the critical disparities in tissue, organ, and blood donations for individuals of African descent. People of African descent remain on organ and tissue waitlists longer and disproportionately require regular blood transfusions.

On November 9, 1946, Margaret Rosell Hawkins, Sarah Strickland Scott and friends formed The Links, Incorporated with the aim of deepening friendships and serving their community. Today, this global force touches lives all over the world. Happy 78th Founders Day!
