@KellyGToGo Districts in Texas have started to tell him to shove it and are saying that they will require masks for all. Glad some are stepping up and putting health and safety first!
BREAKING: The US House of Representatives has passed the Equality Act! This is a major victory and sign of hope for LGBTQ+ individuals and activists who have been fighting for these non-discrimination protections. Read more here: https://t.co/01kdQ0iIu5 #LGBTQ#txlege
@JohnCornyn Every county in your state is under a declared state of emergency. Your constituents don’t have power to heat their homes in single-digit temps. They can’t get out to restock or seek medical attention. Shut up with the political crap and laser your focus there!
@ErinForYall Honestly, I feel like our elected officials and government entities did a damn good job of getting the word out about power outages and the reality of our situation for days. Now, when it comes to getting people to listen and take things seriously, IDK...
@rubenbecerrasr@JoBob64 Can you provide a list of numbers and who specifically we should call? I’m sure many of us want to advocate on behalf of the health and safety in our county?
@SenTedCruz You’re a senator from a state that doesn’t allow teachers to actually unionize. Teachers want to be safe, too. Use your power to get more vaccines in Texas so school can be safer!
@rubenbecerrasr I have. I follow updates and social media for our county and city and that’s not been advertised highly like today’s sign up has. Please also hype that up like today. Several feel like because they couldn’t sign up today that it’s hopeless for the foreseeable future.
@txemhorn134 I’m physically ill watching, particularly with concern for the rights of my personal family and public school students who are not affluent.
@amandafreitag Breakfast tacos... corn tortillas filled with scrambled eggs and nopales. Fry the artichoke until crunchy and top the egg mixture. Top with a pico de gallo with strawberries and Chile’s. Sprinkle a little cilantro and cotija on top.
@alcaprari23@AustinISD Has anybody thought about the teachers in all of this. You want them to teach student in-person and then also teach those that are at home. They will be doing double the work and not receiving any extra pay for the amount of extra time.
Yessss!!! 🙌 I’d like to add one more- Administrators, don’t fall into the trap of comparing teachers right now for their percentage of students turning in work, logging into their Zoom during “office hours”, and “attending” Advisory via Zoom.
