Another wonderful class assembly today, this time led by our P5 pupils. The children shared their learning related to STEM, with a focus on numeracy and times tables. There was singing, dance-offs and lots of crowd participation! @SBCNumeracy
We were using Mathsbot manipulative this morning. It meant we could use the manipulative of choice to understand strategies around exchange, personalising our learning and helping us to see links and processes. Good focus. @SBCNumeracy
Our pupils are engaging with Tutor on Complete Maths as part of their numeracy learning. Videos, quizzes and practice questions are targeted to support individual understanding and the children are reporting that it is helping them to learn. @SBCNumeracy@LaSalleEd@SBCEducation1
P7 were exploring volume using a @joboaler activity. Pupils had to interpret a visual representation of a ‘city of cubes’ to build city models. @SBCNumeracy
Well done to all our pupils who entered the Maths Inside photo competition this year contributing to our commendation for outstanding engagement. #StBoswellsInspires@SBCNumeracy@SBCEducation1

P3 have been building towers using spaghetti and marshmallow. There's been amazing discussion about angles, shapes, balance and structure. I'm also very impressed with the teamwork. @SBCNumeracy#MathsWeekScotland
We continued our Financial learning in P5/6 today by considering Reasons to Borrow. Lots of reflection and mature discussion on the impact money can have on people’s feelings and emotions. We enjoyed creating role-play scenarios to demonstrate these.
Lovely provocations supporting @mathsweekscot in our ELC this week, alongside imaginative and creative explorations supported by favourite books and role play. @SBCEarlyYears@SBCEducation1
Mesmerizing geometric string installations by Nike Savvas. She turns mathematic properties into beautiful arts. I wish we could go back in time and see her beautiful exhibition. 😐 [https://t.co/hJ40Mbyy1O]
Our littlest learners explore the beauty of maths every day, but this week they have enjoyed a Maths scavenger hunt too! #MathsWeekScot@SBCNumeracy@SBCEarlyYears
Continuing our @mathsweekscot activities, during P7’s outdoor learning, we looked for ‘maths outdoors’ and took photos with our iPads @inspireSBC . There were numbers, patterns and shapes and lots of discussion. @SBCNumeracy @SBCOutdoorEd
