Trump says he’s for abortion being controlled by the states, limited exceptions for abortion, and for the abortion pill.

These are incompatible positions.

The pill doesn’t limit abortion for exceptions; it makes it unlimited without exceptions.

And the abortion pill makes it impossible for states to control abortions. Even if a state outlawed the abortion pill, the pills can be mailed from another state. This means a Federal Law would be necessary for states to enforce any laws they would make about abortion pills. It makes the overturn of Roe v Wade effectively meaningless for stopping abortion. Abortion on demand is effectively in force.
