The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory until 4:40 p.m. today for eastern Lucerne Valley and northern Johnson Valley.
Thunderstorms are producing heavy rain, with 0.5 to 0.75 inches already fallen and an additional 0.25 to 1 inch possible.
⚠️ Turn around, don’t drown. Never drive through flooded streets, washes, or moving water. It only takes a small amount of fast-moving water to make driving conditions dangerous.
Residents near recent burn areas should use extra caution. Heavy rainfall can trigger rapid runoff, debris flows and mudflows, sending mud, rocks and other debris into roads and low-lying areas.
