@0x300e @CadillacF1News_ @vincenzolandino It's "financially" smart for both parties. Apple buys some viewership for its service, and F1 gets a large increase in revenue from the rights package. BUT, that doesn't necessarily make it a smart 'business' move. At least not for F1s stated goal of growing viewership.

@ThatsSoEZSports @HarveyJackalope @heartofintrigue @AppleTV ESPN was "only" paying $85 million, Apple is paying $145 million to have the exclusive rights to screw U.S. F1 viewers. To be fair, they aren't the first and certainly won't be the last. But stupid decision by F1, IMHO, for a league trying to increase viewership in the U.S.
