A new article has just been published in @ACSSynBio that demonstrates some of the strengths of SBOL3. The work, which is coming out of the iGEM engineering committee, is focused on standardising the way we talk about build plans (1/6)

@ACSSynBio This in turn enables us to use SBOL3 to make the aforementioned descriptions of the different stages of the assembly machine readable! Having a language about how we do assemblies that is both easy for humans and machines to is a nice improvement (5/6)

It can be used to create diagrams of genetic designs using a wide range of different media. As @LBuecherl shows here, even jack-o'-lanterns 🎃 can be used for SBOL Visual diagrams!
