For Valley Tech, Reece Hendriks was 11 of 19 passing for 171 yards with a touchdown and a pair of interceptions. But he was a real warrior out there and kept many drives alive. Jordyn Amero caught Hendriks' touchdown pass.

Ford's final stats included 24 carries for 177 yards and a touchdown. He also caught a touchdown pass, threw for a two-point conversion and came away with a defensive interception.

Valley Tech played a great game, but the main reason for their downfall has to be Mashpee's Devaun Ford. He was a beast carrying the ball and also came away with an interception on the defensive side.

Final: Mashpee 22, Blackstone Valley Tech 16 as the Beavers conclude a very strong season just short of claiming the Division 7 state championship. Word around the press box is that this is Mashpee's third straight state championship, so BVT should keep their heads up
