This kid showed up yesterday for the bus and almost got left behind because he was out of school uniform. Borrowed a pair of slacks 4 sizes too small and picked up a nice win fo himself

But it was his final bout on Saturday at the 2025 Sam Cali Invitational that proved to be the biggest of his career.

Day 94 of training for Veteran’s Nationals with @BuFuApp: Hour of cardio in the morning and generally relaxed for the rest of the day. I have a good foundation set and can level up the strength and conditioning program. That is easy. Finding an actual coach on the wrestling side has been harder. I have some partners but not true freestyle workouts like I’d prefer. It’s interesting how resources that were abundant years ago are so scarce in this age bracket. Perfect circumstances don’t exist though I will make the best of what I have.

Indy championship would still exist in its same format and top 8 would still be NWCA AA’s. NCAA trophy would just be handed to winner of ND’s. Our sport that is in danger of being gutted every year wouldn’t be in as much danger anymore. Please. Please hear @CoachGoodale

@CoachGoodale Yes. It adds so much to the championships. And, as our sport continues to move into the era of the haves and the have-nots, the duels are getting less and less competitive. Other big events are great. The NDs should be fun, but no need to throw away a great system IMO.

Is adding a mildly interesting aspect to what’s already our best event really worth not getting the teams right at the event we’re trying as a sport to build?

Using the top 16 teams from the NCAA Tournament as the deciding factor for National Dual Invite bids won’t produce the best 16 teams for the next season. What it will do is make a lot of intrigue for the #16 team spot at NCAAs. A $20,000 payday on the line. I kinda like that.
