84 years ago, the attack on Pearl Harbor thrust the United States into World War II, forever changing our Navy and nation. 

Today we remember the heroism and sacrifice of those lost on that fateful day. Their courage echoes across generations.

From the halls of Montezuma to the shores of Tripoli.
To the sand, the snow, the jungle, the wire.
To every clime and place.

Happy 250th Birthday, Marines.

We weren’t promised comfort.
We were handed a rifle, a standard, and the names of legends we were expected to live up to.

Some of us came home different.
Some of us didn’t come home at all.
All of us carry something now that we didn’t carry before.

And yet—
We would do it again.
Not for medals.
Not for praise.
But for the Marine to our left and right.

The Marine Corps isn’t just a branch.
It’s a tribe.
A brotherhood and sisterhood forged in misery, laughter, chaos, and the refusal to quit when quitting would’ve been easier.

Today we remember:
The ones who broke us in.
The ones we led.
The ones who kept us alive.
The ones we still speak about in the present tense even though they’re gone.

250 years.
A quarter of a millennium of grim humor, reckless bravery, bad decisions, impossible victories, and outstanding violence in defense of this country.

Still the ones the world calls when it truly needs something done.

Raise your glass.
Tell the stories again.
Say their names.
We are still here.
And we’re not done.

As founder of a nonprofit with 6,000+ kids mowing FREE lawns for the elderly, disabled, single parents & veterans nationwide, I’d be honored to bring my USA Flag Mower to mow at the Arlington National Cemetery where veterans rest.
