Due to a rollover traffic collision involving a large truck carrying mulch, Cliff Drive will be closed between Hendry’s Beach (Arroyo Burro Beach) entrance and Yankie Farm Road for several hours. Hendry’s Beach parking lot is still accessible.

It is with the heaviest of hearts that the San Diego Police Department announces the tragic loss of Officer Austin Machitar #7989. Officer Machitar and his partner, Officer Zachary Martinez #1901, were involved in a collision last night while responding to a vehicle pursuit.
The first week of school has started! SBPD urges drivers to slow down, follow speed limits, and be cautious in school zones and near bus stops.
Parents, remind kids to walk/bike safely—look both ways and use sidewalks.
