As Ramadan leaves, I made one last dua… if you’re written for me, may this Eid bring us closer… and again Eid Mubarak in advance… may Allah accept our fasts — and maybe accept you as part of my qadr too.
From all of us at Hadith of the Day, we wish you and your family Eid Mubarak. May Allah reward you for your efforts of Ramadan, protect you from the tribulations that are rife in the world and grant you good in this world and the Hereafter - Ameen!
DAY 30
Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Eid
It was narrated from An-Nu'man bin Bashir (RA) that: The Messenger ofAllah (SAW) used to recite on thetwo 'Eids and on Friday: "Glorify theName of Your Lord, the Most High"and "Has there come to you thenarration of The Overwhelming?"
.. Sometimes the two ('Eid and Jumu'ah) occurred on the same day, and he would recite them (these two Surahs).
Sunan an-Nasa'i 1568, Book 19, Hadith 13)
The two recitations mentioned in this Hadithare: سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ الأَعْلَى and هَلْ أَتَاكَ حَدِيثُ الْغَاشِيَةِ.
Ramadan may be over but while you have ahabit of fasting, consider planning to do the 6 fasts of Shawwal in quick succession. Coupled with the gains of Ramadan, these will put your mind, body and soul in a state ready forthe year before the next Ramadan Insha'Allah.
DAY 29
Today's Beautiful Hadith is about the
Six Fasts
It was narrated from Abu Ayyub (RA) that the Messenger of Allah (SAW) said: “Whoever fasts Ramadan then follows it with six days of Shawwal, it is as if he fasted for a lifetime.
(Sunan Ibn Majah 1716, Book 7, Hadith 79)
“Ramadan may be over but while you have ahabit of fasting, consider planning to do the 6 fasts of Shawwal in quick succession. Coupled with the gains of Ramadan, these will put your mind, body and soul in a state ready forthe year before the next Ramadan Insha'Allah.”
"Community matters. Know your neighbors, help when you can. If someone's struggling and nobody knows, they're in trouble. Connect with others however you can- even a smile is charity”
DAY 28
Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about the
poor person
Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "The poor person is not the one who goes round the people and ask them for a mouthful or two (of meals) or a date or two but the poor is that who has
not enough (money) to satisfy his needs and whose condition is not known to others, that others may give him something in charity, and who does not beg of people."
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Book 24, Hadith81)
It's OK. Rest in the afternoon. Take a nap. Prepare for the night. Remember your worship could be sitting and making Dua, engaging in Dhikr and reading the Qur'an, Let's not limit our prayers to just the odd night - remember, we're in Ramadan, and every night is precious.
DAY 27
Today’s Beautiful Hadith is about Seeking the Night
Narrated Ibn `Abbas (RA):The Prophet (SAW) said, "Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of Ramadan ,' on the night when nine or seven or five nights remain out of the last ten nights of Ramadan"(i.e. 21, 23,
25, respectively).
(Sahih al-Bukhari 2021, Book 32, Hadith 8)
We know it's difficult to pace yourself during these nights. Often we start out energetic and begin praying throughout the night on the early odd nights and by the latter ones are exhausted…
and whoever fasts in the month of Ramadan out of sincere faith, and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven."
(Sahih al-Bukhari, Vol. 3, Book 30, Hadith 11)
DAY 26
Today's Beautiful Hadith is about Laylut-ul-Qadr
Narrated Abu Huraira (RA): The Prophet (peace be upon him) said, "Whoever established prayers on the night of Qadr out of sincere faith and hoping for a reward from Allah, then all his previous sins will be forgiven;
