ePortfolio update- apologies for the disruption over the weekend.
All assessments should now appear for selection (refresh browser if not). We're working through email backlog now.
@DrNickTwit @ashnMCR @DrSLJ@rcpch_trainees I can say it will be as much like F2F version of START as possible. There are clear differences in the assessment when done virtually so prescribing is likely to be a discussion on a case rather than an exercise to complete. Will advise more in early Aug when window has closed.
@rebecaulfield@RCPCHtweets@rcpch_trainees It should be a case of being asked to demonstrate what is in the curriculum and therefore match that guidance. Only an issue if you're being asked for more than the curriculum. Interested to see poll results and what guidance might be needed.
@rebecaulfield@RCPCHtweets@rcpch_trainees@DrNickTwit @HannahCJacob Dear Rebecca, in your email we didn't see a date by which you needed a reply so it could take 5 days. If you'd mentioned your review was sooner, we'd prioritise it.
Let us know via [email protected] who the CCH rep needs to be
@rebecaulfield@rcpch_trainees Thanks for your query. The venue hire is only small proportion of the fee, which will be replaced with the need to revise scenarios and new technology.
The main cost in START is the admin to deliver it which won't change.
Paediatric doctors, DO NOT WORRY ABOUT YOUR TRAINING.
Your wellbeing and that of your patients is by far the most important thing. We’ll sort the rest out in good time, I promise.
P.s. we’re not allowed to call it the “miscellaneous log” but... if you remember the good old days of the miscellaneous log... they look pretty similar ;)
Miscellaneous development log returns! Well not quite, it is a development log for recording thoughts, reflections or comments about working in unfamiliar services and can cover anything. Check out "Service Experience - development log" on your RCPCH ePortfolio. Stay safe.
For all RCPCH trainees involved in START assessment, we have just emailed out to you to try and keep you up to date with discussions and planning. As soon as we know more, we will contact you again.
@DrNickTwit@RCPCHtweets Apologies but it's not personal Nick, I promise. The next diet in October would still give you 9-10 months after results to work on things, so make sure you apply for Oct 2020 - First working Monday in April opens the new window...
Lisa Nash, the Liberal Democrat candidate for Stevenage, is a great advocate to stand up for women's rights. She is a midwife and midwifery lecturer who really cares about the women she looks after.
RCPCH START feedback - this is now in the RCPCH ePortfolio for trainees for the latest diet.
Results are pinging through seemingly in order of day 1 AM cohort first...
RCPCH START feedback - we apologise for the delay in getting this feedback on your ePortfolio accounts. We have raised the issue with our developers and they are looking into this now. We will advise via this feed when they are published. Once again, sincere apologies.
