Erneut anti-kurdische Gewalt in Syrien!

Während der ehemalige syrische Diktator Bassar Al-Assad von einem Gericht in Damaskus zum Tode verurteilt wird, müssen Kurdinnen im Norden des Landes um ihr Leben fürchten.

Was ist passiert? Nach sieben Jahren, in denen hunderte kurdische Familien in einem IDP-Camp verbringen mussten, sollten sie gestern zurück in die Stadt Serekaniye, bzw. Ra’s al-Ayn zurück kehren. Ein Konvoi von 400 Familien war von einem Camp im Norden Hasakehs aus unterwegs nach Serekaniye.

Die Familien sind Flüchtlinge, die 2019 aus ihren Häusern durch das türkische Militär und mit diesem verbundene islamistische Milizen vertrieben wurden, als diese das Gebiet eingenommen haben.

Es gibt sogar eine Vereinbarung für die Rückkehr der Familien zwischen der kurdischen SDF und der HTS-Regierung in Damaskus, das Ende Januar 2026 beschlossen wurde.

Doch statt, dass diese Familien friedlich in ihr lange ersehntes zu Hause zurück kehren konnten, erwartete sie ein hasserfüllter bewaffneter Mob, der sie mit Knüppeln und Gewehrkolben angriff. Es werden Menschen vermisst und einige mit schweren Wunden im Krankenhaus behandelt.

Bei den Angriffen wurden anti-kurdische Parolen skandiert wie: „Wir werden niemals einen Kurden in dieser Stadt akzeptieren.“

Die Angreifer sind Siedler, die sich die Häuser und Felder der vertriebenen KurdInnen in ihrer Abwesenheit übernommen haben. Einige von ihnen waren auch an der Invasion von Afrin im Jahr 2019 beteiligt.

Wie kann es sein, dass die so genannte „Interimsregierung“, die sich der Welt als Stäbilitätsanker und Friedensgarant für Syrien präsentiert, keine geregelte Rückkehr für die Familien gewährleistet? Wie kann es sein, dass immer noch Kurdinnen um ihr Leben fürchten müssen.

🇮🇶 Kurdish PM Masrour Barzani warns the region in northern Iraq wants nothing to do with the escalating mess from the U.S.-Israel actions against Iran.

Kurdistan Region has no relationship with Israel, Prime Minister Barzani says

Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani told Al Jazeera that the Region has no ties with Israel, stressing that national foreign policy is the responsibility of Iraq's federal government in Baghdad.

Prime Minister Barzani also said the Region does not want to become involved in regional conflicts and has faced more than 1,000 missile and drone attacks attributed to Iran or Iran-aligned militias.

He reiterated support for placing weapons under state control and rejected claims that US troops are currently stationed at Harir Airbase.
