Seeing Ep2 start to finish, #Heybourne develops at a snail’s pace. Which I like. The ep focuses on C’s relationship with the girls instead, and gives her later relationship with AC that much more weight because it was always about the girls first for her, not pursuing a man.

Also, I think AC is still pretty unlikeable in this episode. Which again, I like. There are hints of warmth, like the malacologists scene and the bet with Mrs. W, but mostly he continues to seem like the misanthrope Tom described. It makes his arc so much more satisfying.
