There are two basketball fan bases in celebration mode in New York City now.
The Knicks and, after late Wednesday night, St. John’s has joined them.
The late-night addition of Baylor transfer Tounde Yessoufou is that big of an addition.

Baylor's Tounde Yessoufou -- a potential first-round pick -- has withdrawn from the 2026 NBA draft and committed to St. John's Red Storm men's basketball program to play for Rick Pitino, his agency THE TEAM tells ESPN.
The Knicks have Black Americans, a Jamaican, a Dominican brother, a Puerto Rican brother, a Nigerian dude from London, and a White guy that make you go "damn that white boy cold".
They truly embody NYC. That's crazy.

An absolutely tremendous showing by Zuby in all of the combine drills he’s participated in thus far. Even his worst drill performances he finished among the top half of participants. Should be a surprise to absolutely nobody that Zuby is performing above what scouts expected as he soars up the draft board.

NBA scout on Babacar Sane: “Physically, he should be playing in the NBA. He’s more than skilled to be able to play [in the NBA]. He’s every bit of 6-foot-8, he’s built like a tight end. He can run, he can jump, he shoots it better than OK.”
