Reading & literacy resources for schools. I started tweeting & realised a thread would be better! Scroll for links to resources on whole school literacy, reading promotion, reading challenges and register & read.
I'm working on this at the moment, so look out for more resources!
I've recently been asked for access to my whole school literacy CPD resources. Please find the link here: https://t.co/sCo3HdWHYv
Included are a ppt, booklet of strategies, bookmarks and a staff skills audit. Help yourself! :-)

As I say, it’s a long shot but we are so very sad she cannot make it. If anyone can share this and help to make magic happen we would be very grateful. 💫
@GaryBarlow We’re coming from Guernsey to Manc next Sat 19th. Sadly, our friend has a ticket but had some devastating news last week and can no longer make it. She is going to watch it live on Amazon. It’s a big ask but it would mean so much if you were able to give her a mention
@tes@educationgovuk Parents have probably done the sensible thing. Looked at how exhausted their child is and sent them in later. There does also need to be some common sense applied.
@MisscLongworth I love this idea. I always find it hard to make the ease tasks accessible but like how you’ve broken it down. Please would you share a copy?
KS3 is becoming a national conversation again, and this matters because Years 7, 8 and 9 are not the warm-up years. They are not a holding pattern before GCSE and they are not simply the bridge between primary and Key Stage 4
In case you haven’t seen it and you’re considering a move. We have a maths and an MFL post going for September, both close this Thursday!
Relocation package available.

NEW: Reform UK have performed strongly in today’s local elections, continuing their rise in national politics.
Teachers and school staff:
What impact do you think Reform-led education policies would have on schools, staff and students in the UK? 👇
Would they create new problems for education? 👇
We’re interested in hearing views from across the profession.
Lots of people are saying that this was the best @researchED1 ever.
Very difficult to disagree. Had a wonderful few days. More discussions & debates than I could count. The most fantastic hospitality. Electric atmosphere, felt the same energy as back in 2014.
Thanks Guernsey!
Listening to a welcome speech with a fun anecdote about the MADNESS of national curriculum “levels of progress” back in the day at @researchEDGsy.
This is a strong reminder about the risks of having a compulsory national curriculum when the evidence continues to evolve.
Fabulous day at @researchEDGsy
Great sessions on writing and keynotes by @jon_hutchinson_ and @daisychristo
Brilliant session on learning from prisons by @NPorter_
And I had fun in mine!
Superb organisation- thanks to everyone involved 🔥🔥👏👏👏
@davidbroadley@Miss_Snuffy Daisy dealt with that. The research unfortunately demonstrated that the AI essays achieved top grades. She did liken it to driving a marathon though.
@greeborunner@mrs_denglish I’d heard the government had accounted for diabetes monitors. I do also wonder if it would be easy enough to monitor on a separate, portable machine.
