A massive well done to 14 of our Cadets who have this weekend completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh practice expedition! This is the first step in completing their DofE award and was very challenging given the temperatures!

Today is National Nystagmus Awareness Day! Sqn Ldr Jim Williamson, OC Sector One, has persevered with the condition throughout his life and helps make up our diverse senior leadership team at the Wing!
Today the staff and cadets of Sector One attended Wakefield Armed Forces Day. They show cased a variety of activities the RAFAC has to offer. Officer Commanding Sector One, said 'I would like to thank everyone involved for their hard work, it really was impressive to see!'

D-Day 6th June 1944.
This week the Wing Shooting team have trained over fifty Cadets on the L98 as part of the Wing Camp. The Cadets shot on the DCCT, 25m and 100m range! A fantastic 43 achieved their Silver Trained shot badge. Well done all!
Today Cadets attended a memorial event for three local airmen who died during Operation Chastise in WWII. The raid more commonly know as the βdambusters raidβ involved RAF aircrews targeting dams in Germany using a revolutionary type of bouncing bomb.
The sun was shining today as over 200 Cadets from 27 Squadrons across South & West Yorkshire came out to take part in the Wingβs annual athletics competition! A massive well done to all those who took part. (More pics on our Facebook) @OC_SWYorksWing
