This one is at the Boulder museum that belongs to a lady back east. She inherited it from her father. He bought it new and it was always a "cool car" but no one in the family really knew much about it back in the day. It stayed in the family and he would take people for rides in it occasionally. Well she inherits it and calls the guys at the museum to ask if they could help her get it running. They are interested and grab a flight and get out to her place and she opens up the garage and they all nearly have heart failure.

Pristine Cobra almost virtually no mileage, no damage, just an absolutely exquisite survivor. She asks if they could get it running and they say yes, they can but what is she wanting to do with it. She says "I want to drive it to a car show so people can see it" At that point they tell her that it's worth approximately $2.5-$3M and there's no way she should take it to a regular parking lot car show. She is stunned of course and asks if she can keep it in their museum instead where people can see it. Of course she can, they get a trailer and get it to Boulder and it sits prominently there where people can see it just like she wanted. Just one story of hundreds from that place.

The Cobra is the one car that is so cool that the replicas are just off the hook and better than many other custom car builds or originals from GM or Mopar. Places like Superformance in Florida and others have all the official licensing and facilities to turn out hand-built factory race Cobras and GTs and Daytonas and such. Nothing else commands that kind of replica industry.

All said and done, if I were choosing, I'd take the replica. An original would be so cool but too valuable to pound on and too cool to sell or have sit in a museum. It would be a quandary for me.

@operaman86 @worldhockeyrpt Exactly. And the audio mixing I heard is really poor. The crowd noise bleeds into the commentator audio but at a higher frequency or something and makes it sound like a crappy speaker buzzing. I know my sounds bar is good and it was never that way on TNT.
