Hey parents! Please remind your kids to do their Asynchronous Art activities so they are ready for “live” class. Making art in the offline world is a great way to build creative problem solving skills and self confidence! @SCES_PTA@SandersCornerES#artmatters
I LOVE the many artistic touches that make this not just an engineering marvel, but a moving work of art and music!

As you all are aware, LCPS schools are closed until 4/10. While school is still closed, there will not be any ASEP clubs during this time. The PTA will work with club instructors and school administration to schedule make-up sessions to the extent of possible when school reopens.
Stuck at home? Of course! Do what artists do: draw all the time! Here's a fun video from Mo Willems for kids of all ages. @The_Pigeon@SandersCornerES@SCESLibrary_VA

Test run silk screen printing reusable grocery bags. This lesson is coming up for 4th and 5th grades! Art+ecology=a very STEAMy art experience. How will you #MakeADifference for the environment? #SCES20@SandersCornerES @LCPSVisualArts #artmatters
Artists are pretty good at innovation just for the sake of trying something new! Mrs Abbot’s 3rd graders got to try out Chinese hake brushes and sumi-e ink to add a horizon to their northern lights sky. Who knew that natural brush bristles would be such a hit?! #SCES20
@JohnSco42237550 Super proud of these young artists in Mr. Scott’s class! They’re the first to finish their acrylic landscapes while using a few “tricks” to create the illusion of distance. Bravo boys! @SandersCornerES#SCES20#artmatters @LCPSVisualArts #arted
@Mark_MeierDC Yeah, we’ll we don’t live in the Midwest, do we? I’ll thank you and others not to give me the snark. And it’s not an inch, it is 2-3, coming down heavily and with temps dropping. I have lived and driven here, in Boston and Pittsburgh, I know snow driving. 🙄
