We are delighted to announce the signing of French forward Mikael Mandron on a one-year deal.

Mika joins us following a successful three-year spell with St Mirren in the Scottish Premiership.

#StockportCounty have signed French striker Mikael 'Mika' Mandron on a one-year deal, following the 31-year-old's exit from St Mirren.

Jonathan Smith: "Mika is a player we’ve tracked for an extended period of time, so we’re delighted to get this deal over the line. He will give us a different dimension at the top end of the pitch with his size, physical presence and relentless work rate that make him a real handful for defenders."

Understand Mandron is categorically *not* a 'replacement' in any way for Kyle Wootton, with a bit of speculation online around that possibility due to an apparent similar style of play between the two.

The pair will share the load up top for The Hatters this season, with Beno Andresson and the currently injured Adama Sidibeh the other two strikers on the books.

Fevrier initially left #StockportCounty to join Charlton Athletic on loan in January and now looks to be making a permanent step up to the Championship.

#StockportCounty loanee Ollie Whatmuff will now not travel with Manchester City on their pre-season tour and, barring a change of circumstances for City, will remain with The Hatters for the rest of pre-season and the competitive campaign.
