Rutherford County Schools students have been participating districtwide in the Amazing Shake annual competition. The competition aims to develop confidence, professionalism, and poise among the students.
Throughout the process, elementary and middle school participants worked through interactive scenarios that challenged them to communicate effectively, demonstrate strong first impressions and respond thoughtfully in fast-paced situations. This competition puts their skills to the test to help prepare them for success in school and beyond.
Following school-level competitions, finalists advanced to a countywide event held at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Smyrna.
After a series of rigorous challenges, three RCS students were named overall champions: Aaron Berry of Rutherford County Virtual School, Knox Gullion of Wilson Elementary School and Ellie Turner of Stewarts Creek Middle School.
Each will now advance to the international Amazing Shake competition at the Ron Clark Academy in Atlanta in March.
Isabella Jenkins of Stewarts Creek Middle School and Emilia Jovel of Rocky Fork Elementary School were both runner-ups for the competition.
The initiative is coordinated through a collaborative partnership among Rutherford Works, Rutherford County Schools and Murfreesboro City Schools, highlighting a shared commitment to preparing students for success beyond the classroom.
RCS thanks all businesses and organization for participating in this year’s competition.
