The Chairs of the seven regional @SCNACsOffical were proud to host a virtual update on their progress last week in their Monthly meeting. The event featured insights from @sturdy_deborah and @Duncan_CNO from @DHSCgovuk

Nurse leaders from across health and social care highlighted how these councils are driving collaboration across the system. Current regional priorities include work on clinical competencies, delegation, research, and medication sustainability.

The chairs are proud to lead the councils, which have diverse memberships representing residential care, domiciliary care, learning disability services, education, mental health nursing, and more. This variety is crucial to ensuring social care nursing voices are heard alongside NHS colleagues, creating an integrated collaborative approach to health and social care.

On Day 2 of the @CareShow we held a special session titled: Social Care Nursing Advisory Councils @SCNACsOffical : spotlight on Adult Social Care with a panel of passionate social care nurses including @sturdy_deborah, Chief Nurse for Adult Social Care.

A rich conversation was had with lots of encouragement to get involved.

Deb awarded two Golf Chief Nurse awards to two amazing individuals who we at the society are proud to work closely with.

@KarenRo57064213 Head of Health and Clinical Governance at @LifewaysGroup and Co-chair of the North East and Yorkshire, Social Care Nursing Advisory Council was awarded for her dedication to LD Nursing.

And our very own @SDhrona MD of The The Close Care Home and Director of The Outstanding Society was awarded for his dedication to the LGBTQ+ community through his work with the Out Standing Diversity Forum (OSDF)
