@thriftymaven This was a life taken too soon, horrific death. The identification of the alleged perpetrator doesn’t make the circumstances less nor does it erase the pain her loved ones left the carry. Tasia humanity should remain at the center of this conversation. RIP

@thriftymaven@AzPetrich It’s interesting that you say that, bcse many troubling things are being done while people claim they’re acting in the name of God and in the name of love. That contradiction is difficult to understand. These are definitely the last days; things witnessed are hard to explain.
@thriftymaven@AzPetrich Same here. These are dark and uncertain times we’re living in. This morning, before I went to work, I simply prayed,”Lord give me strength to face another day.”The truth is, none of us knows what the day will bring or tomorrow holds. I need His strength and guidance.🙏
@thriftymaven@AzPetrich 2) My deepest condolences to our family. I’m grateful there has been an arrest, and I hope the focus remains on truth, accountability, and justice for her.
@thriftymaven@AzPetrich 1) It’s heartbreaking that we even have to be having this conversation tonight. Given our history, I understand why emotions run high and why people fear the worst. At the same time, we sometimes have to allow facts to play out before we conclude. We must do better.
@thriftymaven@AzPetrich The goal should be justice and accountability, not the race of the people doing their jobs. I’m thankful law-enforcement worked together to identify and arrest the personal responsible.

@spacetourist0 If that assessment is accurate, it suggests someone who may benefit from taking time to work on themselves before pursuing a lasting relationship. As we mature, older relationships require emotional independence and the ability to be more comfortable with their own company.
We make a mistake when we treat Noah like a hero from an ancient storybook. He wasn’t a legend to admire, he was a prototype.
The defining difference between Noah and you is not nature. It is assignment.
Noah’s territory was the whole known world. Yours is your street, your office, your family, your 1-kilometer radius.
We are called to be Territorial Noahs. You are the Noah of your ground.
And you carry an Ark, one that is both completely finished and still being built.
Noah was declared righteous before he ever picked up a hammer. His building didn’t save him. It was the proof of the faith he already had; that’s Christ. He is our finished Ark. Our salvation is settled.
But our active faith, how we show up, love, and speak right where we live, builds the visible frame of that Ark. The frame the people around us can actually see, actually approach, and walk inside.
Yet we panic when they don't flood in immediately. We forget that Noah did not have a movement. He had a household and a hostile world, and for decades he kept building while nothing happened and nobody came. His faithfulness was not credentialed by visible results; it was proved by whether he kept lifting the hammer.
The modern believer is not as alone as Noah was. We are surrounded by a global network of other Noahs building in their own radius, on the same foundation, and toward the same end.
Which means the only real excuse is the one you have been rehearsing: that your ground is too small to matter, that a person with serious gifts deserves a larger stage first.
That is the lie that keeps your ground uncovered.
The stage you are waiting for is the ground already under your feet.
Build before the rain.
@astro_greek 2) But it does require listening, and recognizing that these experiences are real for the people living in them. Please have some compassion.
@astro_greek 1) Whether people agree or disagree on policy, I hope parents who have witnessed their child struggles first hand approach these conversations with empathy, compassion, and humility. Supporting someone’s humanity doesn’t require everyone to reach the same conclusion.
@astro_greek If you recognize signs of gender dysphoria in your child from an early age, then you understand that this wasn’t something that suddenly appeared or was simply a matter of influence. That experience could provide a unique perspective on how complex and deep gender identity can be
