@volklub @sanket I suspect,idea is to mobilise the huge stock of automakers into markets. Unless the existing ones are 'thrown' who will buy the new ones? Remember about a year ago we read about 75000 crores worth inventory of automakers due to poor sales.

@volklub In all this we forget that it is very likely that Petrol retailers will deliberately add water to blended petrol as now they know that water goes well with Ethanol and if customers complain about quality they can easily blame the blended petrol.Who suffers,the poor car owners!!

@volklub @tehseenp It is suspected that the fuel that is being supplied currently is beyond E20,perhaps in range of E30. And that is the real problem. Maybe they saw successful run of E20 blending and saw got greedy and silently rolled out higher ethanol blended petrol and that is causing problems
