It was a paw-some day for SCPD canines that visited Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Elementary in Wyandanch.
In addition to meeting with SCPD dogs and their handlers, students asked questions about the responsibilities of the Canine Unit and enjoyed demonstrations.

On 11/18/24 Sebastian had his bike taken from the bike rack at McDonald's on Sunrise Hway in Lindenhurst, NY. Yesterday, Officers observed a suspect riding the stolen bicycle. Suspect was arrested. The bicycle was returned to Sebastian and him and his family were very happy!
1st Pct Officers arrested an 18 yr. old and impounded his vehicle because he was stunt driving while surrounded by a crowd. This behavior is dangerous & illegal.
As the Kansas City Chiefs and San Francisco 49ers get ready for kick off at this year’s Super Bowl, the SCPD is asking residents to plan how they will get home after the big game.
Make sure you have a designated driver or call a ride share if you plan on drinking.
Today, @smtschool11701 St. Martin of Tours School honored Veterans. 1st Pct Officers who are also Veterans did a Q & A with the students. Kindergarten thru 4th grade made the officers cards & 5th grade thru 8th grade wrote and read them essays on “Why Veterans are Important.”
Copiague PTSA held a Prince and Princess Ball at Copiague HS for 4 elementary schools. There were 300 guests, 70 high school students volunteers and parent volunteers. It was a great night for all the children!
