Four people were arrested in connection with selling tobacco and vape products to people under the age of 21 during compliance checks at multiple businesses in Mastic and Shirley on Thursday.

The Suffolk County Police Department extends its condolences to the Syracuse Police Department and the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office for the loss of their officers who were killed in the line of duty over the weekend.

Officer Thompson used her horse whisperer skills in Manorville late yesterday afternoon! Moose the horse decided to go for a leisurely stroll on the streets but was soon corralled by Officer Thompson and returned to his owner.
