Today is my last day! I have been at @SpfldCollege since I was a first-year student in the fall of 2003 and worked in the Office of Marketing and Communications before coming to the library in 2011.
My journey is now moving to Northeastern University, where I will be the Marketing & Events Coordinator for their library. While I’m excited for this new opportunity and needed change for my family, Springfield College will always be a part of me.
Hello, @springfieldcollege students. To thank you for such an amazing time working here, I’ll be celebrating my last day with several trips through the Learning Commons with a #StudyBreakSnackCart, giving out free treats. So stop by the LC tomorrow and grab a snack! 🍫🥜🍪🍭
I participated in the first two Scholars in Action Days as a student and the last eight as an evaluator/organizer. It’s always been one of my favorite events because it celebrates the students’ academic work and it’s always impressive. #LastWeekAtSC
Class of seniors challenging each other to remember their first-year College Writing professors. Playing along, I share who I had.
Student: Wow, that’s REALLY impressive!
Me: It’s not THAT impressive.
S: It was, like, 3 years ago for us, but for YOU...
Me: Please stop.
In 2018, @PBS investigated some of America’s best-loved novels on the #GreatAmericanRead. Taking her cue from the program, combined with her love of campus life, @SCPridebrarian launched The Great Springfield College Read. Hear the stories: https://t.co/EfOg2Ewqhf
However it’s bittersweet to leave @SpfldCollege , my second home for the past 16 years. I met my best friends here and the students, faculty, staff and campus will always have my heart. Plus I still plan on being a very active alum! 🔻
I am excited to announce that I have accepted the position of Events & Marketing Coordinator at Northeastern University. I’m very excited to share the importance of academic libraries to a whole new population of students and faculty!
