@watchingaerial Go watch the Ashton Kutcher Steve Jobs film so you can fulfil your idiotic criteria of aesthetic likeness with a dogshit performance. The rest of us will watch the Danny Boyle film that doesn’t concern itself with inconsequential bullshit that has little bearing on the story.
@CTYM18@BlackMajikMan90 Spielberg’s 2000 - 2005 run is a run that the most lauded filmmakers of current crop will never achieve. Also, what the fuck are you talking about.
@MattBelloni I cannot stress enough how much these guys need to dump a truck full of cash on Larry David’s driveway. Him or Aubrey Plaza. Fuck, even Mulaney.
@hwalhl240655 @michaelmiraflor The answer to this is nothing. Disney adults are just as lame as Marvel and Star Wars adults.
Barbie adults aren’t really a thing and that film was made for general audiences and not for terminally-online nerds who define themselves by brand alliance
@IMAXEnthusiast @TheGuiltyGamer2 @BrandonDavisBD Okay so now you’re talking about LieMax screens and not real IMAX, which again means we’re mainly looking at paying for a brand name instead of an experience that is near identical to all other PLF screens. It’s shit like this that makes Disney bring out their Infinity Vision bs.
@TheGuiltyGamer2 @BrandonDavisBD What does IMAX mean in this context though? What exactly does he enjoy about watching a movie that will only fill 65% of the screen? He could get the same experience on any other premium large format screen without the extra cost. He enjoys paying for a brand name?
@BrandonDavisBD Dune 3 is shot and designed for IMAX. The actual real estate that the Avengers film will take up on an IMAX screen will be identical to any other PLF screen. No difference outside of charging you a premium for an experience you’re not getting.
@CarbonHelium Hey so there’s an update! Sydney IMAX are now showing… *drumroll*… the first Top Gun and only the first Top Gun. Because why the fuck would they program the film actually shot for IMAX out of the two. Meanwhile Hoyts doing both.
@Lons Eh you’re trying to bring this up on a technicality. Crash was a 2005 commercial release, hence it being a 2006 Oscar nom. You had me checking my dates lol. Still can’t believe this bullshit beat Munich.
Every time they release a new clip from MICHAEL, I can’t help imagining it as the cold open before the intro sequence to a new episode of MINDHUNTER.
