@FPLBeggzySC@NaCheers I think there's a clear miscommunication between the mids and the defenders (Richards has been lining up on Watson when playing midfield) and then Sellwood as a defender. When Watson is rotating he gets loose or the players "lose him." That's where he's been the most damaging.
HT scores tonight may seem skewed but rightfully favouring HAW due to how they've scored. 11 Hawks above 50, only 2 Dogs. Hawks killing them in almost every aspect #Supercoach
@fantasy_things It's always the case, now.
There's more room for a rookie defender to slot into a team than what there is for a fwd rookie.
Fwds have to develop and also improve on fitness, tackling etc, defenders do as well but it's mainly focused around ball skills and vision for them.
@supercoachjords @LiamBarry20 Here's the problem:
How much time will get in the middle ahead of the likes of Macrae, Dunk and Bont?
McLean and Libba (when fit) will be ahead of him for mid time.
The only way I can see him getting mid time is on the wing which won't suitable for his game style.
@supercoachjords @LiamBarry20 I would wait another year or 2 for Smith.
Generally players break out in their 4th years (after being drafted and playing whole/ majority of 3 seasons).
There’s been some exceptions to this like Oliver breaking out in his 3rd year.
@AFLBlues @t_mitchell_88@fantasy_things So if someone like Whitfield didn’t have DPP would you still select him a mid?
You said you’re still starting Danger but you mentioned he’s not a great pick due to the loss of his DPP status.
I think it’s the opposite since you can fit Whit, Dusty and Dev in the 1 fwd line now.
@AFLBlues @t_mitchell_88@fantasy_things The full time taggers like Jacobs (NM), MDB and CEY (who I’m assuming tags over Jarryd Lyons) he’ll struggle against and the ones up and coming like Dylan Clarke and others won’t impact on him just yet but they will in the next 3-4 years.
This applies to every mid though.
1/2
@imjohnb Yeah that’s right.
Captain, loopholes and weather play a huge factor.
All you need is a good a couple of good rookies early and some like Hinchliffe and Ellis for the long haul.
