This is fake news at its finest.
First off, we’re not ‘banning’ any program. The federal government doesn’t set curriculum or programs.
Here’s the truth: we are holding colleges accountable for leaving students worse off than if they never enrolled. Too many graduates report delaying major life milestones like buying a home or starting a family. Why? Because low return-on-investment programs saddled them with unmanageable debt that was never going to translate into a real-world job.
Federal student loans are not a welfare program for failing college programs. American students deserve education and training pathways that prepare them for the workforce – and transparency about programs that will never pay off.
No, Congresswoman. You are not “facing 17 years in federal prison for doing your job and standing up to Trump.”
That is not what the indictment says.
You were conducting congressional oversight at Delaney Hall. That part WAS your job.
But federal prosecutors allege that when officers attempted to arrest Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, you physically interfered with that arrest, struck one federal officer with your forearm, grabbed him, and used your forearms against another officer.
THAT alleged conduct is what produced the three federal charges carrying a combined statutory maximum of 17 years.
You have every right to contest those allegations. You are presumed innocent. You can argue the prosecution is politically motivated, challenge the evidence, challenge the officers’ account and make every constitutional defense available to you.
But “I am facing 17 years for standing up to Trump” is political legerdemain.
Opposition to Trump is not the charged offense.
Congressional oversight is not the charged offense.
The alleged physical interference with federal officers is.
Those are materially different statements, and Americans deserve the whole story.

@SteveL1127@pelositracker Good lord now you get it. If the bot & sold, bot & sold. Then their annual salary means jack shit. If they bot 100k and sold 100k and bought 100,000 and sold 10x or however then it would show that they traded 2 million $. So again. What does i matter what they’re salary is.
ATP, the shell-org sucking up 20% of your property taxes, wants more money for a new, shiny, $20M downtown office.
We already fought this in April and they backed off due to public pressure but now they’re trying again
They aren’t listening

3. Come in person to today’s city hall meeting. 10 AM. 301 W 2nd St, Austin, TX 78701
@ClintPoursain@austinreforms You can thank city council for that. This group we have is absolutely atrocious! Homelessness has gotten worse every year under their command. All while 311 has exited for 25 years or about. And police has been around for centuries and homelessness was never this bad.
@austinreforms@austinreforms and I’ve told you all of this at least 10 times, and yet you’re still spewing lies, so if you don’t believe me, then find out for yourself and stop spreading lies.
@austinreforms Response/HSO that is how the city council and mayor and APD wanted it. 311 doesn’t dispatch and never has.
The 311 is call taking and entering in request for City of Austin department. What they do on their end, it is their responsibility.
