in regards to BC you may find this interesting, He won the NZ hickory open in 2023 (60 years after the open) in his late 80s and still plays of “3 or something”'. Must be the best golfer in the world now for his age.
@NoLayingUp Having seen @GregChalmersPGA tweet, can you start a campaign to get him membership. Finishes tied 3 (after a great round by your boy blandy) and has a 6 hour drive to qualify for next event, get Greg on the podcast, he is brilliant on Twitter @LouStagner@4golfonline
@NRLonNine@PhilGould15 Saw a clip from Gordie talking about GI and 13 of him being the best (one player for 13),for me others are Mal, Israel F, all incredible athletes.Any other players you think compete as a 13 (I also thought maybe SBW in his peak, similar to others as could play anywhere ) #AskGus
@krisrodrigues14 @jamiecweir@jamiecweir is talking about a 58 year old who doesn't play much who has made the cut and finished at 9 over, within 20 shots of all golfers in the world (liv and PGA) it's an incredible achievement and I can't understand how you want to compare to others he finished alongside
@jamiecweir I believe it is on 2 holes but averages 255 driving distance for the first 3 rounds. He would have had long irons/woods on most holes versus 8/9/w. Incredible performance over 4 days in difficult conditions as well
@NoLayingUp@BigRandyNLU@ngschuNLU
A question for the pod, You taking Scottie 9+ (Equal 4th all-time same as Hogan and Player), versus Ludvig 4+ (ATM same as Els,Rory), Apart from @TronCarterNLU not many had heard of him when the last Masters took place.
@JustinRayGolf As a kiwi (living in the UK and a big fox fan) I think Ryan Fox was 9 under on the front this week, and 18 over on the back (awful luck yesterday with hitting the pin on 17, ended with a triple). who was the best performer on the front and the back this week.
@JustinRayGolf Cheers Justin, masters week is the best week of the year. Not sure if you saw the first question re ludvig and top 10 before the odds one, but thought it would interest you (not sure if it something you have stats on)
@JustinRayGolf will Ludvig be the first mens golfer to make masters/major debut as a top 10 player. Seems unlikely to have happened before and more likely now with PGA moving August to May/possibly less top 10 players with Liv/amateur career.
@BenColeyGolf Agree re golfers, apart from Tiger and possibly Rory, golfers could go in out public and not be recognised by the vast majority of people.
Wait till you get to
the sixth episode with the USA Ryder cup picks, it is very odd.
@sam_golf@ByeongHunAn@NoLayingUp@Mike_kim714 They are both honest, mike gives analysis which no one else shares (open last year was brilliant) and Ben for the sarcasm/giving it back to people having a go.
Increasingly rare now to hear athletes speaking without pr etc, Sam you know that from hearing footballers in the UK.
@sam_golf@ByeongHunAn@NoLayingUp It's been great to see Ben do so well this year, was gutted to see him lose in the playoff . Alongside @Mike_kim714 my two favourite golfers to follow on here.
@ByeongHunAn come on Ben, you are only top 50 in the world with career earnings over 15 million (top 10 in fed ex this year), you aren't allowed to miss a cut to lose a gambler/draft king player money
