@JLantagneSr There is a ton of research supporting smaller class sizes for teaching, especially when there are reading/writing/math deficiencies as there are in so many. Your statement seems to make sense on the surface, but it is far more complex an issue.
@JLantagneSr I’d call this a logical fallacy connection. Universities are often taking in top percentages of students. They accept students who can learn in a lecture style (proven to be the most ineffective) environment. Meanwhile, K12 is for everyone.
Joe Pye from Dorchester 2 is the first superintendent I've spotted today. "Well, we didn't have school," he says, referring to his district's closure for #AllOutMay1.
@AveryGWilks Just because you didn’t see it, doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. A group of teachers from my district met with two Representatives which they helped to set up. People from all over, yet many on the inside couldn’t even come out 😢
Last night, BCSD Teacher Forum had the honor of naming our Top 3 Finalists for the 2019 District Teacher of the Year. Congrats to Amy Haridson, Kimberly Walker, and Thomas Mignon! @BCSDTeachForum @innovate_in_308 @cerrasc@SC_TOTY
Enjoyed presenting today at the @bcsdschools conference with many amazing teachers.
