I think social media has slowly changed what we call "love language." Everywhere you look, it tells you "If he does this, he's yours", "If he doesn't, he's not the one."

But how can everyone love the same way? What if his way of loving is making sure you never sleep on an empty stomach? What if he remembers the little things like how much you hate waiting and shows up 10 minutes early every time? What if he doesn't believe in texting you every 5 minutes in between a hectic day but chooses to give you his undivided hours once he's free?

What if when it comes to his friends he still shows up for them? The same friends who stood by him through every messy phase, every low, every fight he couldn't win alone. How can you expect to become his entire world in just a year, when they've been part of his life for so much longer?

And the concept of texting is still there. Yes, it takes seconds to send a message... but love is not measured in seconds. Sometimes, it's in the way someone thinks about you even when they're not saying it out loud.

Maybe love was never meant to look the same for everyone. Maybe we just forgot how to see it in different forms.
