@SD_Comic_Con There are slots still available for the 24th and 25th (the 26th is filled). I just checked to make sure if the slots were completely gone and not there where still hundreds available from opening to the 6 entry. I just booked for 3 friends and i went straight through... no lag.

@SD_Comic_Con Another good option is Amtrak. It has a train that goes from LAX to the Santa Fe Depot near the Gaslamp for about the same price or cheaper depending on the day arrival/departure time. You could trolley or walk to most downtown spots from there.
