One of the best things about covering the @AAFFleet was getting to know a roster full of great guys, players you respected and admired. None more than @kaetwicefrfr. Class act all the way and now a Pittsburgh Steeler. God bless and good luck, Kam!
@kingrob619 I talked to a minor league GM about this in 2017 for a story, and he conceded that teams want fans to be on this phones during games, posting to social media. So adding nets is the responsible thing to do
@kingrob619 It's not even so much that fans dont pay attention, teams encourage fans to not pay attention. Look at Petco, they want you taking selfies and posting them. They put them on the scoreboard. It's a different era now and teams need to adapt.
@jonschaeffer As I recall, they went something like 17-5 from around Memorial Day to this point in June, then totally collapsed. Hopefully something different this time
@kingrob619@Yankees@Dodgers@Padres@thestevenwoods Having a lot of money doesn't just manifest itself in payroll. You can pay for top scouting/development talent. The Red Sox are a tremendous example of this. They built a tremendous player development staff when John Henry bought the team in 2001.
It gets hot out there but the @AviatorsLV have me hooked up with my own shower under the tunnel to stay cool in between innings. Our stadium and staff rocks!! @MiLB @Athletics @MLBONFOX
