DHS offices across South Dakota will be closed tomorrow, December 22, due to extreme wind chill and blizzard or near blizzard conditions. Employees will work remotely tomorrow. Offices will reopen Tuesday, December 27, after the Christmas holiday.

Due to the continuing winter storm, many DHS Offices will be closed Friday, Dec. 16.

DHS Offices will be open in the following counties:

* Clay
* Custer
* Fall River

Weather and road conditions are quickly deteriorating in Brookings, Lake, Miner, and Moody counties. DHS Offices in these counties will be closed effective immediately. Employees will work remotely for the remainder of the day.
